There are two versions of this booklet below: one with a bleed and one without. A bleed refers to the extra space around the perimeter of the design. It ensures that the pages can be printed and trimmed to the desired finished size.

Usually, commercial printers prefer a bleed. In this case, please note that with the bleed, these booklets print to 5.5” x 8.5”.

Purpose

Why this booklet

Our research showed us that Indigenous people often experience limited support following an abortion. We frequently heard from participants how they navigated their recovery without adequate information on how to manage symptoms or when medical attention was needed.

We made this booklet to promote wholistic post-abortion support that attends to all aspects of recovery, including emotional and spiritual. We created a shorter version of the Honouring Your Journey booklet, focused on abortion aftercare, to make Indigenous-specific resources more accessible to providers and their patients.
